  • Condition: In beautiful condition, however there is some wear on the top right corner and side with some of the finish missing along the edge and a superficial horizontal crack in the lower right portion. There is a quarter size piece of the finish missing in the lower center and some evidence of repair on the top left corner (see photos). Despite some of the wear, it does not detract from the piece's aesthetic beauty and it is still very structurally sound.

    Description

    Large Chinese Ming style lacquered wardrobe featuring a distressed antique crimson red lacquer finish with burnished gold
    architectural and landscape motif detailed with black hand painted outline. Brass hardware latch key and pagoda knockers adorn the front cabinet doors (new magnets inside allow for secure closer). The piece has a pagoda style apron and black lacquered back, interior and sides with stretchers. The interior is designed for a variety of uses with the removable top shelf measuring 47"w x 21"d x 15.75"h that surmounts two medium dovetail constructed drawers adorned with teardrop shaped antique brass pulls. The planked middle shelf measuring 47"w x 20.5"d x 10.5"h has a decorative brass ring in the center. The bottom shelf, which can be removed if deeper storage (23.5"h) is desired is comprised of 3 loose planks and measures 47"w x 20.5"d x 12.5"h. Several round cutouts have been provided is used for media storage. Exact age unknown.
